The Ark of the Covenant, Found at Last!

So many people have long been searching for the ark of the covenant. It symbolizes the presence of God in the midst of His people Israel in ancient times. We have even been made to believe that we shall find the physical ark of the covenant in our generation as prophesied by Mr. Gerald Flurry. That had been our line of thinking until now. But we must ask ourselves honestly: Is there really a need for the ark of the covenant in our time right now? Is it really God’s will for that most sought after ancient artifact to be found in our time? To know the answer to that question let us understand the reason why the ark has been made and for what purpose.

In Exodus chapter 24, Moses wrote the account of the blood covenant between the people of Israel and God:

And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the Lord. And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words. (vv. 4-8).

ark of the covenant

After that event, God commanded Moses to build the ark of the covenant (Exodus 25:10; read also Exodus chapter 37). There goes a brief origin of the ark of the covenant that has been connected with the covenant between God and the physical nation of Israel. Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong taught God’s Church about what the nature of this covenant was:

There was a typical marriage between Christ and the ancient congregation of Israel. The Old Covenant was a marriage covenant (Jeremiah 3:14). But because of her adulteries He had given Israel a bill of divorce (Jeremiah 3:8). This was not a divorce in the sense that many think of divorce today, but was rather a legal separation in accordance with the laws God gave Israel (Deuteronomy 24:1). Marriage is intended to be for life. The death of either party dissolves it. Israel, of course, was the Old Testament Church (Acts 7:38)—called the “congregation of Israel.” “Congregation” and “church” are synonymous terms. Israel’s Husband, come in the human flesh—Christ— died. That ended the Old Testament marriage.

But the true Israel of the New Testament are not unconverted natural-born Israelites by race, but converted through grace by the Holy Spirit, as explained in Ephesians 2:11-22 and Romans 11.

Let me make that point very plain.

The Apostle Paul said to the Gentile-born Christians of Galatia: “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye [you Gentile-born Christians] Abraham’s seed [Israel], and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). It has been made plain (Romans 8:9) that only those in whom is dwelling the Holy Spirit from God are Christ’s. They are Israelites by grace, not by race!

Spiritual Israel

To Gentile-born Ephesians, Paul wrote, “Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh … That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel … But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off [from the nation Israel] are made nigh by the blood of Christ. … Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God [family relationship]” (Ephesians 2:11-13, 19).

Romans 11 shows plainly that, spiritually, “Israel” today means the Church—regardless of whether Israelite- or Gentile-born. Unconverted natural-born racial Israelites are cut off by sin.

Christ’s death ended the Old Testament “marriage.” But Jesus Christ was born again, by the resurrection—born divine, as very God—the first so born of many brethren! And when they—these “brethren,” these Christians who now form, spiritually, the true Israel of the New Testament—having been perfected (Ephesians 4:12-13), are resurrected at the time of Christ’s return in glory and divine power—and thus also born of God—are presented to Him “without spot or wrinkle,” they shall be marrying Him! (P. 23, Why Marriage! Soon Obsolete?)

Mr. Armstrong had been teaching God’s Church the plain truth about the significance of the Old and the New Covenant. Mr. Gerald Flurry also expounded this subject even more as the Worldwide Church of God broke the marriage covenant after Mr. Armstrong died:

The Marriage Covenant

The most urgent prophecies in the Bible are directed at God’s Spirit-begotten people. Why? Because eternal life is on the line. If they rebel and fail to repent of their sin, they will lose the opportunity to live forever in God’s Family…

“Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations” (Ezekiel 16:1-2). God says the Ezekiel watchman must cause Jerusalem to know her abominations. In the end time, there is a work warning physical and spiritual Israel. Jerusalem is a type of national Israel. But there is also a Jerusalem above, “the mother of us all,” which is the Church (see Galatians 4:26). In Ezekiel 16, God’s primary focus is on Jerusalem above—the end-time Church of God. God’s Church receives truth from Jerusalem above. This is probably one of the most inspiring chapters in the Bible! Of course it also applies generally to national Israel. However, the main focus is on a wife who has broken her marriage vows.

Ezekiel 16 is discussing two marriages: first, an Old Covenant marriage with ancient Israel; second, a New Covenant marriage with God’s Church today. The main focus is on the New Covenant marriage…

In Ezekiel 16:8, God says you became mine—you became my wife. That happened to only two groups: ancient Israel, and the firstfruits called before Christ returns. Both groups became Christ’s wife by entering into a marriage covenant…

At baptism, the firstfruits make a marriage covenant to obey God and be born again as Christ’s wife. This far transcends the marriage covenant He made with the physical nation of Israel! Ours is a special marriage covenant available only to the firstfruits. (p. 74, Ezekiel booklet)

So as for those who are thinking of being baptized or in the process of baptism, they ought to know that they are actually entering a marriage covenant with God. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we don’t want to miss.

PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL EXCAVATION

During the 2015 Mount Zion Dig, two of the REMEMBRANCERS did some physical digging to fulfill the duality of the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9. We were even hoping to find the physical ark of the covenant during that dig and we were so sure that we would, nevertheless, God gave more new revelations in Jerusalem as He continued to pour in His Spirit to His servants as they also did some SPIRITUAL EXCAVATION. It was there in Mount Zion where God gave this small insignificant group the name, REMEMBRANCERS. Well, anyway, we have been encouraged by God’s apostle, Mr. Gerald Flurry to do some spiritual digging to better understand God’s prophecies:

Chapters 8 through 11 in Ezekiel are all one vision. I believe it is one of the most important visions in the Bible for us in this end time. It talks about the failure of God’s Church in some striking detail. It also tells us how we can conquer the god of Ezekiel 28.

If we are to understand these chapters, we must do some spiritual digging. (from Ezekiel booklet, page 47)

Let’s do some spiritual digging and understand where we are now in prophecy:

The Image of Jealousy

The vision of Ezekiel 8 and 9 is about Christ and His wife—God’s Church—with the main focus on the end time. In Ezekiel 8:3, Christ is being provoked to jealousy because His Church is committing adultery with another god like Tammuz (verse 14).

Christ gets jealous when His wife turns to another god—Satan, “the image of jealousy.” Christ is very jealous when His wife, or the Church, commits adultery! (The vision of Ezekiel 16 is also about Christ and His wife, with the main focus on the end time.)…

The very fact that Christ is jealous tells us this verse is referring to His wife—the Church of God—not a false church. God’s own Church is sinning and provoking Christ to jealousy. A man gets jealous if his wife turns to another man in lust, and Christ gets jealous when His wife turns to another god! Christ wouldn’t be jealous if this church wasn’t His Bride—His own Church! And she is turning to another god. She is committing spiritual adultery.

False religions of this world have never been God’s Bride. He is not jealous of them. He is only jealous of His own Church that is turning its back on Him!…

So much evil went on in the sanctuary, it simply drove God out from being able to dwell there. If we don’t fight for God’s rights, then He just allows that fallen archangel to conquer God’s own Church.

God goes “far” from His sanctuary—a type of His Church. He couldn’t tolerate such ghastly evil. God leaves because of the abominable image of jealousy! So we see it is prophesied that God would actually leave the physical location of His Church in this end time. So it is not strange for God’s faithful people to leave with Him! It is strange that some of God’s people don’t leave the Laodicean Church with Him!

This is the way it happened in the Ephesus Church (Revelation 2:5). It’s nothing new for us to have to do the same—leave the physical presence of a sinning church. This has happened throughout the history of God’s true Church! As God’s people turn away from His truth in this end time, God leaves the physical location where He once resided with them. This is a tragedy of staggering magnitude! What is a church without God’s leadership? It is a church headed for disaster…

God went far away from His temple because of the evil. If God goes far away, His people ought to follow! People may think they can take on Satan by themselves, but they are terribly wrong. If Church members want to be casual in their religion, they will not last long. These verses show a takeover by a very evil being! The people were acting “to drive me far from my sanctuary,” says the Revised Standard Version, and God is allowing that to happen.

Could there be anything worse than that? Verse 6 concludes, “but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.” The evil just keeps getting greater and greater…

“And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door” (verses 7-8). God wants us to fight for Him and vindicate His rights, but it is going to involve some digging. We must do our part. The more we dig spiritually, the more God will reveal to us individually and collectively.

We must look at these verses spiritually. (pp. 48-49, Ezekiel booklet)

Again as we kept on digging spiritually through the years, God gave us His spiritual treasure in this last end – His precious truth and new revelations which He encapsulated in the Book of Remembrance. To build on what Mr. Flurry said, according to him, God is prophesied to leave the physical location of His Church because of the “abominable image of jealousy.” We used to think that this prophecy was primarily for the Worldwide Church of God rebellion that happened after Mr. Armstrong died. And if we will consider what Mr. Flurry wrote that “(i)n Ezekiel 16, God’s primary focus is on Jerusalem above—the end-time Church of God,” we will have a clearer picture if we will dig even deeper into this subject which God’s signet, Mr. Armstrong has pointed out the specific identity of who this end-time church is in Ezekiel chapter 16:

Some …will say it is adornment, and they mention how God adorned Israel. LET’S LOOK AT THAT SCRIPTURE A MINUTE! It’s the 16th chapter of Ezekiel. It begins, “Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations.” The ABOMINATIONS of Judah are the subject. Then God speaks symbolically of Israel and Judah as a newborn female child who grew up. She grew up polluted by the world, and at the time of love, God adorned her. How? God used apparel as a symbol of righteousness. Here He used the symbol of covering her with the FINEST apparel and adornment – HIS LAW – WHICH IS FINEST IN SPIRITUAL CHARACTER. THE APPAREL AND JEWELRY MENTIONED ARE NOT MENTIONED TO APPROVE WORLDLY ADORNMENT, BUT INDICATE THE FINEST QUALITY IN CHARACTER, as measured by God’s spiritual LAW. God mentioned only the finest in material adornment to typify the finest in spiritual adornment…

The BEAUTY God lavished on Israel was SPIRITUAL beauty – of HIS WAY OF LlFE – the way of His LAW. (Herbert W. Armstrong, WCG Pastor General’s Report, Vol. 3, No. 41; November 2, 1981 pp. 3-4)

When we go to verse 30, we can understand where it all began – “HOW WEAK IS THINE HEART, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman” Remember the emphasis of Mr. Armstrong: “The ABOMINATIONS of Judah are the subject.” This is specifically for the Philadelphia Church of God today! (The Last End – A Book of Remembrance)

Again for emphasis, Mr. Armstrong said that “(t)he ABOMINATIONS of Judah are the subject” of the prophecy in Ezekiel chapter 16. And we know that the spiritual Jews in prophecy according to Mr. Gerald Flurry is being fulfilled by the Philadelphia Church of God! Therefore, the abominable image of jealousy that was shown to the prophet Ezekiel is referring to what the 25 men did – they chose Edstone over Jerusalem! They chose the TERRITORY OF WICKEDNESS over the TERRITORY OF GOD! These group of PCG ministers led by Stephen Flurry provoked God to jealousy because they have committed spiritual adultery and whoredom.

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them? (Ezekiel 16:20-21)

See how God is disgusted with the doctrine of CREMATION and how it has become one of the PROOF that the prophecy undeniably refer to the PCG. Now notice here in verse 48 how the PCG is being viewed by God in this last end, they became Sodom’s sister.

As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. (v. 48)

For emphasis, remember what Mr. Armstrong noted on his November 2, 1981 PGR? The subject of the Ezekiel 16 prophecy are the ABOMINATIONS of Judah which in this last end is the Philadelphia Church of God!

Here is the plain truth about this short work: God directly linked the prophecy of Sodom and Gomorrah to this last end Gentile work even the specific fulfillment of it to physical Israel being led by America. When the two REMEMBRANCERS shaved their heads on June 22, notice carefully that just a fews days later, on June 26, the United States of America became Sodom overnight! Notice also that a few weeks later on July 14, the Iran nuclear deal has been concluded which relates to a “fire from the sky” thought as it associates to the ancient city of Sodom.

Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. (Romans 9:27-29)

Again here is the specific prophecy given by the apostle Paul people which has been inspired by God to FINISH His Work in this last end:

As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living GodWhat shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. (Romans 9:25-26, 30)

FINE LINEN OF GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” (Revelation 19:7-8)

“Fine linen is the righteousness of the saints” – that is what everyone in God’s Church in this last end should be spiritually clothing themselves with. But what happened in this last end that God has to set up a short Gentile work who will finish His work. Why did God have to do a short work in the context of “the righteousness which is of faith”? Because the spiritual clothing of His own people have become so marred:

The Linen Girdle

Why would Jeremiah write an end-time prophecy about a linen girdle? “Thus saith the Lord unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water” (Jeremiah 13:1). We have to look at these verses spiritually.

We are told that “fine linen is the righteousness of the saints” (Revelation 19:8). However, this linen is not “fine.” “So I got a girdle according to the word of the Lord, and put it on my loins. And the word of the Lord came unto me the second time, saying, Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock. So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me. And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there. Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing” (Jeremiah 13:2-7). This linen girdle is of no value to God. The key question is why?

Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Thus saith the Lord, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing” (verses 8-10). God’s own Church and the nations of Israel refuse to hear God’s words. (pp. 86-88, Jeremiah and the Greatest Vision in the Bible)

Does this prophecy in Jeremiah as discussed by Mr. Gerald Flurry mean that the righteousness of the spiritual Jews (i.e., the PCG) which was symbolized by the linen girdle in this last end is of NO VALUE to God? That as the prophet Jeremiah described: “This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, WHICH IS GOOD FOR NOTHING” because they have turned to Edstone instead of continuing the work in Jerusalem.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (Romans 9:30-33)

Whether we like it or not, God is now using the Gentiles to provoke His own people to jealousy (Romans 10:19). Christ’s wife is making herself ready. She is clothing herself with the fine linen of God’s righteousness which is of faith. This short work is a work of faith is being done not by might, not by power, but by God’s Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) to turn many to righteousness (Daniel 12:3).

THE SIN OF SODOM – GOING AFTER STRANGE FLESH

Though most of the REMEMBRANCERS may think that they may be Gentiles in their physical features yet God has said that we are His people and we are now being called children of the living God. We are the only SEED left whom God is using to FINISH His Work and look closely at the time sequence of events.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; (Zechariah 8:7)

God wants each one of the REMEMBRANCERS from the EAST COUNTRY to see that He is connecing His short work to the physical and spiritual Sodom of this last end, which is America and the PCG respectively. See how God describes the sin of Sodom, which mostly describes the spiritual aspect of it.

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. (Ezekiel 16:49)

Notice here that the sin of Sodom is listed which aptly describes what is happening inside the PCG – so much PRIDE, and even though they have fullness of bread yet they did not strengthen the hand of the poor and the needy, they lacked godly hospitality.

And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. (Ezekiel 16:50)

This is the same as what is prophesied in Jeremiah 48 concerning the haughtiness of Moab as in Jeremiah 48

We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart. (v. 29)

And because of that pride, haughtiness, arrogancy in Stephen Flurry’s and the PCG’s heart, they took a stranger instead of Jesus Christ our Husband!

But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband! (Ezekiel 16:32)

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example (Jude 1:7) Why did Jude compare the fallen angels with Sodom?

Ezekiel 16 sheds more light on the problem with the people of Sodom. “Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, surfeit of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. They were haughty, and did abominable things before me; therefore I removed them, when I saw it” (vv. 49-50, Revised Standard). They were living in great prosperous ease while consumed with pride and haughtiness. They were consumed with SELF! Sound familiar? (The Philadelphia Trumpet, November 1996)

The people of Sodom and Gomorrah were CONSUMED with SELF just like Lucifer and the fallen angels were, i.e., with so much PRIDE and VANITY! All of their minds became perverted, distorted, twisted! Their thinking revolves around satisfying the SELF! And just like the spiritual terrorists in God’s Church who feed THEMSELVES without fear instead of feeding the poor and the needy ones (Jude 12, Ezek. 16:49, Zech. 7:9-10) – (The Last End – A Book of Remembrance)

Look at how Stephen Flurry’s thinking “revolves around satisfying HIMSELF.” From the pcog.org website:

Dean of Students on First Semester at Edstone

Lighter moments from the Work in Britain

By Albert Clarke May 29, 2015

As the first semester drew to a close, Mr. Flurry related everyday experiences from his new life in the months since he and his family moved to the Church’s new campus in Warwickshire in January to help with the large expansion of the pcg regional office in England.

Of Edstone, Mr. Flurry said that the environment is similar to a previous start-up operation in many ways: the archaeological excavations in Jerusalem. Mr. Flurry and his family lived in Jerusalem for approximately seven months with 17 students and alumni working under renowned archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar. At Edstone, the group of 10 students and alumni plus a handful of staff is even smaller than the 62 students and dozens of staff in Edmond.

“It’s more like a dormitory-type environment,” he said, “more noise, more activity, more fellowshipping.”

On the other hand, the lush, spacious, secluded environment is more akin to the Edmond campus than to the noisy, packed neighborhoods of the German Colony in Jerusalem, Mr. Flurry added.

Source: https://www.pcog.org/articles/1625/dean-of-students-on-first-semester-at-edstone

Stephen wants to satisfy HIMSELF with the environment in Edstone rather than to content himself in God’s chosen city, Jerusalem. That is how he became spiritual Esau or Edom and the PCG becoming Sodom seeking after strange spiritual flesh , i.e., the Edstone estate.

God’s Church as the wife seem to tell Jesus Christ her husband that she could choose to do whatever she wants: Just like what Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote, the PCG has allowed STRANGERS IN THE SANCTUARY!

Strangers in the Sanctuary

Ezekiel 44 contains a description of the future temple’s sanctuary. Verses 1-4 describe the sacredness of this holy place. No human being will be allowed to enter into it. This chapter also describes the state of God’s sanctuary today. We know that the word sanctuary in prophecy refers to God’s end-time Church. There are terribly tragic events happening within God’s sanctuary today.

“And the Lord said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the Lord, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary. And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations, In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations” (verses 5-7).

Ezekiel was told to “mark well” what was happening in the sanctuary. God told Ezekiel He was very upset with what was happening there. God expected Ezekiel to deliver a  message to the rebellious, referring to God’s ministry today. Remember, it was the priests who were in charge of the sanctuary.

These end-time, rebellious priests have allowed “strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh,” to enter God’s sanctuary. (p. 53-54, The KEY OF DAVID booklet)

The Key of David booklet

From that prophecy, we can be sure that there are indeed unconverted ministers and strangers inside the Philadelphia Church of God. We can easily perceive it with the introduction of Irish dancing, Mother’s Day, cremation, etc. To top it all up, they chose a strange land Edstone over God’s land Jerusalem, thus making the PCG ministry the Edomite Laodiceans. And God’s punishment to these Edomites will be greater than that of the sin of Sodom (Lamentations 4:6)

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord God: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations. Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. (Ezekiel 16:43-44)

The mother here refers to the mother church from where PCG came from, the Worldwide Church of God (WCG). God views the PCG the same as her mother, the WCG.

And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land (by treating Jerusalem as an ordinary land and chose another land in her place), and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord. And the Lord said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah. (Jeremiah 3:8-11)

As it appears in this prophecy, the WCG is more justified than the PCG. What do you think could have happened to God’s Work. Will such a disastrous event ever stop His Work in this last end?

For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. (Romans 9:28-29)

Why do you think is there a need for this short work to finish God’s Work in this last end? The PCG could just have finished it until the return of Jesus Christ, but why is there a thought of a SHORT WORK in the context of a Sodom and Gomorrah? It is because the PCG has committed the sin of Sodom of going after strange flesh through the acquisition of Edstone and they left God in Jerusalem on His own. The people of the PCG were CONSUMED with SELF that they have FORGOTTEN “the Eternal has chosen Jerusalem” vision.

In Ezekiel 16:59-63, you can notice that God admonished His people to REMEMBER. Actually all throughout the Bible that is God’s admonition to His own people because we have the natural proclivity to forget. Let’s look at the fate of those people in God’s Church who FORGETS:

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. (Revelation 14:1)

God’s name will be written upon the foreheads of the 144,000 who will repent. Why did God have to write His name on their foreheads? Because they have FORGOTTEN him. They only think of honoring the mothers as manifested in their celebration of a pagan holiday, Mother’s Day, on the other hand, the REMEMBRANCERS has not forgotten God the Father – they cling on to His truth which He has given to His signet, so God gave them the Book of Remembrance.

THE SPIRITUAL ARK OF THE COVENANT

God’s apostle, Mr. Gerald Flurry has written a great deal about the ark of the covenant. He expounded the spiritual aspect and meaning of each element inside that ark – God’s government being symbolized by Aaron’s rod, God’s laws being the two tablets of stone, and God’s new revelation being symbolized by the manna.

The ark of the covenant is a symbol of God’s throne. God ruled from there on the Earth. So those two covering cherubs undoubtedly represent Michael and Gabriel—the only two remaining archangels of which we are aware. Only these archangels are qualified to hold such towering positions—or so it would seem according to the Scriptures.

So what does all of this measuring in cubits mean? The subject is Solomon’s temple, or the Church of God today. The ark of the covenant and the covering cherubs represent God’s throne and the highest levels of government in God’s true Church! That means we must study these verses with extreme care and submit to the government emanating from God’s royal throne!…

The ark, with the Ten Commandments and Aaron’s rod, was a symbol of God’s covenant with ancient Israel. In this end time, God’s Church also entered into a covenant with God. We made a covenant to submit to God’s law and government. We made a covenant with God to guard what we were taught! The Laodiceans have seriously violated that covenant. (p. 49-50, Zechariah- The Sign of Christ’s Imminent Return)

Zechariah booklet

Have we done our part of the covenant to guard those things which we have learned from the past? God has given us an abundance of Old Testament examples of which we ought to learn from.

Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:11-12)

Those examples from ancient Israel and even from recent Church history were inspired by God to written for our own admonition. As we have been encouraged by That Prophet, Mr. Gerald Flurry that we must continue to do some spiritual digging ourselves, so let’s dig deeper into the subject of the ark of the covenant:

The Shiloh story is in 1 Samuel 4. Israel had the ark of the covenant which contained the two tables of stone, or the Ten Commandments. The ark was a symbol of God’s throne—His presence. When the Israelites crossed the Jordan River, they had the ark. They saw the waters of the Jordan separate so they could cross. They knew this was a great miracle of God. When Israel circled Jericho seven times, the walls came tumbling down. They had the ark of the covenant with them. All of the Israelites knew that God was with them and had performed these miracles.

When the temple was built, the ark was put in the sanctuary, the holy of holies. The Israelites thought God was always with them when they had the ark. In 1 Samuel 4, they had the ark when they went into battle. But over 30,000 Israelite soldiers were lost in a bloody massacre!

The people of Israel were deeply discouraged. They wanted to know why this happened. So God revealed to them that He had left them because of their wickedness, as explained in the seventh chapter of Jeremiah. Even if God’s people have the ark, or His temple, or His Church name, He is against them if they are rebelling!

Having God’s name is not enough. God must be there too! And if God’s people turn away from Him, He won’t be with them. If God punished physical Israel as He did in 1 Samuel 4 and Jeremiah 7, what will He do to spiritual Israel, His Church, today?

“And then come to present yourselves before me in this house, which belongs to me, thinking you are now quite safe—safe to go on with all these abominable practices!” (Jeremiah 7:10, Moffatt).

“I will treat this temple that bears my name, and in which you put your trust, and the place I have given to you and your ancestors, just as I treated Shiloh. I will drive you out of my sight, as I drove all your kinsmen, the entire race of Ephraim” (verses 14-15, Jerusalem translation).

“Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you” (verses 21-23). The Israelites were getting into a ritualistic religion. They considered themselves very religious, but they were rebelling and committing abominable sins!

And so it is today. The Laodiceans act very religious while they rebel against God!

God inspired Jeremiah to write about our time today. He warned that we must remember what God commanded (mainly through Herbert W. Armstrong in this end time). It’s not enough to call ourselves God’s people. We must also obey God!

We all have read about how Satan comes as an “angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). We often see a leader hugging kids and talking endlessly of love, love, love, and we find it so hard to envision this person as being motivated by Satan. But that is how Satan comes! He appears as an “angel of light.” We must understand this or be deceived! (pp. 60-61, Jeremiah and the Greatest Vision in the Bible)

We have to deeply learn this lesson that HAVING GOD’S NAME IS NOT ENOUGH. We need to have God in our midst, that is what’s IMPORTANT! We can think that we have God’s name, the Philadelphia Church of God; we can think that we have God’s government; we can think that we have God’s house, the Armstrong Auditorium; we can think that we already have Petra as our place of safety; we can think that we are very religious, yet if we are rebelling against God and committing abominable sins before Him, He will definitely leave us. He will not stay in our midst. Everything that we hold dear amounts to NOTHING! The 25 men of Ezekiel 8 thought that since they have the spiritual elements of the ark of the covenant, i.e., God’s government, God’s law, and a set of new revelations, they think that they can do whatever they want – Irish dancing, Mother’s Day, cremation, no contact policy and now the Edstone work, without consulting or aligning their thoughts with God through His end-time signet, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.

God has now brought the PCG to believe that the physical ark of the covenant will be found in our lifetime as what Mr. Flurry suggested in his Key of David broadcast:

But will God allow the physical ark of the covenant to be found in this last end? Let’s take a closer look at that prophecy Mr. Flurry discussed:

And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. (Jeremiah 3:16)

For better understanding, let’s dig a bit more into the original Hebrew meanings. The word “neither” in Strong’s can also mean, NOT; while the word “visit” can also mean “CARE FOR”; and the word “done” can also mean “BRING FORTH” The original Hebrew word for “remember” is H2142 which is the same word used in Isaiah 62:6 where we got our name REMEMBRANCERS and also in Jeremiah 4:16.

And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: NOT the REMEMBRANCERS; neither shall they CARE FOR it; neither shall that be BROUGHT FORTH any more.

Why do the REMEMBRANCERS don’t have to CARE to search for the physical ark of the covenant now? Because it will no longer be BROUGHT FORTH! Consider what Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote earlier in his ministry:

“And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers” (verses 16-18). It is easy for us to get excited today about perhaps finding the ark of the covenant. But we need to keep everything in perspective. The ark was very important in leading a carnal nation. It represented God’s presence. However, it is soon to be forgotten as we move on to the spiritual Family of God. Today God lives in each member of His Church. There is no comparison between that begettal and the physical ark of the covenant. (pp. 85-86, Jeremiah and the Greatest Vision in the Bible)

As Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote that “The ark was very important in leading a carnal nation.” Does this mean that if we try to focus on finding the PHYSICAL ark of the covenant, in God’s perspective, we are likened to a CARNAL NATION? Do you think we need to find and see for ourselves the ark of the covenant so that we may be able to know where God’s presence is? For emphasis, let’s paraphrase what Mr. Flurry wrote that AS WE MOVE ON TO THE SPIRITUAL FAMILY OF GOD, WE HAVE TO FORGET THE PHYSICAL ARK OF THE COVENANT! Why? Because “(t)oday God lives in each member of His Church. There is no comparison between that begettal and the physical ark of the covenant.” – Christ is coming in the flesh! Did we get it? If we are still in the same mindset of wanting to find the physical ark, then God consider us as CARNAL MINDED PEOPLE just like the ancient nation of Israel!

Now, why should we not CARE FOR that physical ark of the covenant anymore? And why won’t God allow it to be BROUGHT FORTH anymore?

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (Hebrews 8:7-10; read also Jeremiah 31:31-33)

Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote explaining the prophecy in Jeremiah chapter 31 that “(t)he Church is preparing now to enter into that covenant when Christ returns. If we respond, we get to help Christ teach and make that covenant with all humanity! (p. 54, Jeremiah and the Greatest Vision in the Bible)

To better understand this new covenant of God , let’s consider what Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong taught us about this subject:

But under the terms of the NEW Covenant, what does God propose to do? Heb. 8:10; Jer. 31:33 and II Cor. 3:3.

COMMENT: Under the old marriage covenant, God wrote His laws on two tables of STONE. The people could SEE the law with their EYES, but the LAW was NOT WITHIN THEIR HEARTS AND MINDS. The law was NOT A PART of them. But under the terms of the New Covenant, Christ promises that He will make a marriage agreement only with those who are NOW having the principles of His Law written in their hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit.

REMEMBER THIS, FOR IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!! Christ will marry His “bride” — the collective members of His Church — only when she has prepared herself by PRACTICING OBEDIENCE to His law.

According to the terms of the new marriage covenant, we must first be tested and proved to see whether we really want to obey God. The Old Covenant, remember, was made with Israel BEFORE she was fully tried and tested. The new marriage covenant will not be made until AFTER we have been tried and tested and are “born again.” Then we will be members of the SPIRITUAL Kingdom of God — Israel according to the SPIRIT, no longer possessing sinful human nature.

The New Covenant is a far BETTER covenant than the Old Covenant was. The OLD Covenant was NATIONAL — TO ONE NATION ONLY — to Israel. It promised ONLY TEMPORARY MATERIAL EARTHLY BLESSINGS. IT HAD NO PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ETERNAL LIFE. The Old Covenant Israelites had no promise of receiving the Holy Spirit which could have written God’s law in their hearts and minds.

But the NEW Covenant marriage agreement into which we can enter will COMPLETELY CORRECT the fault of the Old Covenant by making it possible for us to obey God’s law PERFECTLY in its spiritual intent! For at the resurrection, Christ’s Spirit-born Church will be given a completely NEW nature — the SPIRITUAL nature of God — which will enable born-again Christians to obey Him PERFECTLY forever! (I John 3:9.) It is then that Christ will marry His PERFECTLY OBEDIENT Church. (LESSON 19 1961, 1965, 1967, AMBASSADOR COLLEGE BIBLE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE, The Terms of Christ’s SECOND Marriage)

Here is what Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote about this NEW COVENANT:

God made a covenant with the people of ancient Israel, but He divorced them after they broke that covenant. God made a covenant with His New Testament Church. In this end time, many of God’s own people broke that covenant. God will forsake them too. Many of them still have a chance to repent before the Messiah’s coming.

God will never, never, never forsake us if we obey Him. But both parties must keep the covenant if it is to be binding. That covenant is based on God’s law. (p. 25, Isaiah’s End-Time Vision)

Has the Philadelphia Church of God kept that covenant? Stephen Flurry and his fellows have introduced paganism in the midst of God’s Church, they too also broke the covenant, so what will God do since this is already the last era? God shall have to finish His work of confirming the covenant and cut it short in righteousness (Daniel 9:27; Romans 9:28)

I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (Isaiah 42:6-8)

And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; (Isaiah 49:6, 8)

In this end-time, God has already given us all the elements inside the ark of the covenant, His government, His law and His revelations, so is there a need for a physical ark? Now consider this: Why do you think God allowed for the ark to be found nowhere in the Second Temple period? Because when Christ came here to this earth He became the fulfilment of that ark!

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23; see also Isaiah 7:14)

See here that Jesus Christ was also called “Emmanuel” which means “God with us.” Remember that anciently the ark symbolizes the presence of God in the midst of Israel. So what do you think could be the purpose of the physical ark during the Second Temple period when God Himself was already in their midst? The people don’t have a need anymore for that physical ark as a sign that God was present in their midst because He was already there in the flesh among them! How about in our generation right now?

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, it shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26)

God has given us His Holy Spirit to BRING ALL THINGS TO OUR REMEMBRANCE and the proof of which is the Book of Remembrance is already in our midst in this last end! God also made sure that one of His covering cherub Michael is protecting those who cling to that book (Daniel 12:1). Now is it important that we find the ark now?

It is easy for us to get excited today about perhaps finding the ark of the covenant. But we need to keep everything in perspective. The ark was very important in leading a carnal nation. It represented God’s presence. However, it is soon to be forgotten as we move on to the spiritual Family of God. Today God lives in each member of His Church. There is no comparison between that begettal and the physical ark of the covenant. (op. cit.)

Let us paraphrase the prophecy of Jeremiah: “And it shall come to pass, when the PCG becomes rich and increased with goods in the land of Edstone (which means a rich, prosperous ruler), in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: NOT the REMEMBRANCERS; neither shall they CARE FOR it; neither shall that be BROUGHT FORTH any more.” (Jeremiah 3:16)

PASTORS ACCORDING TO GOD’S HEART

Let’s look at the context of this ark of the covenant prophecy in the previous verse:

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15)

Notice that it’s not about the physical ark of the covenant, but the spiritual ark is what concerns God the most – pastors according to His heart, just like King David was a man after God’s own heart. According to Mr. Gerald Flurry, here is the main characteristic of those pastors:

Ancient Israel was led by the ark physically. God’s loyal ministers today are those who follow that ark of God spiritually and lead God’s people. (p. 51, Zechariah – The Sign of Christ’s Imminent Return)

So those that follow that spiritual ark of God are the loyal ministers in His eyes and they are the pastors according to His heart! God is now making a clear distinction of who His true pastors are. If you are still in the mindset of longing for the physical ark, then you are not one of those pastors according to God’s heart, it’s that simple. And we are considered to be carnal minded if we fall into that frame of mind just like the ancient carnal nation of Israel.  Remember that the ark of the covenant has to be borne on the shoulders of the priests. Notice that the priests who were carrying the ark became at one with that ark! These are the pastors according to God’s heart.

Now, we can see in the next verse what these “pastors according to His heart” have been preaching all along – it’s all about Jerusalem which God has chosen!

At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. (v. 17)

What God has chosen, that is what these pastors have been declaring. Their hearts are also into it. Even though the whole Church is choosing another estate, they won’t give in to “the majority wins” mindset. They only think what God thinks, they have become at one with Him in His thoughts. If God has chosen Jerusalem, then they will choose Jerusalem also. To further comprehend the context of the whole chapter, let’s read the very first verse:

That is to say, If a man puts away his wife and she goes from him and becomes another man’s, will he return to her again? [Of course not!] Would not that land [where such a thing happened] be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot [against Me] with many lovers—yet would you now return to Me? says the Lord [or do you even think to return to Me?] (Jeremiah 3:1, Amplified Bible translation)

God is asking, will the PCG return again to Jerusalem? In God’s eyes, the 25 men of Ezekiel 8 led the people in greatly polluting that plot of land which He has chosen for Himself. They committed the greatest whoredom any Church of God group could have ever committed in this end time. Well, many in the PCG will say, “We have God’s government, Mr. Gerald Flurry APPROVED the NEW PHASE OF WORK in Edstone (even Irish dancing, Mother’s Day, cremation and the no contact policy) so we will just follow his lead. Surely God is behind him. God will not allow Mr. Flurry to go wrong in his decisions.” But we have to consider what he himself wrote:

And so Uzza in that Ark of the Covenant example is a lesson for us today; I want to show you that, and I think that most people don’t know that the New Testament commands us to look to examples like that, and learn from those lessons, and I just wonder why more people don’t hear that in Christianity today…

Now here we have Old Testament history, and God is telling us that that history is to teach us lessons to keep us from making the terrible mistakes that Israel made anciently. So I mean, that just clearly ties the Old Testament and the New Testament together, and it is an example, a powerful example, to teach us today (that is, the one of Uzza), it’s one of the many that God has to teach us from the Old Testament. So it’s all tied together — Old Testament, New Testament — so how do you reconcile what Christ said in the New Testament, and what happened to Uzza in the Old Testament when he touched the Ark?…

In 1 Chronicles 13 and verse 1, let’s look at the example of Uzza that we’re supposed to learn from in verse 1. 1 Chronicles 13 and verse 1, “And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.” That is, all the political leaders, but he didn’t consult with the Levites, or what we would call, the ministry today. He didn’t consult with those people, who were, really, the ones responsible for the temple and the Ark and those spiritual things that they had to tend to….

Notice verse 4. Verse 4 states, “And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.” Now, that’s interesting because it was right in the eyes of the people. They thought it was okay, and David said, “Well, let’s do it, then, if it’s right in the eyes of all the people.”

But was it right in the eyes of God? And the answer is, no, it wasn’t, and David should have known that. He should have known that, and others should have known that, the people should have known that, but they had gotten so far away from God, they didn’t know. They didn’t know, just as people today don’t know about these examples, and they should know. They should know about them. Well, it’s all a matter of what God sees, and what He wants us to do, and really, people don’t matter… (The KEY OF DAVID — Uzza and the Ark, TRANSCRIPT 0825)

Did you know that this same principle has happened in this last end? The 25 men of Ezekiel 8 thought that they are doing God a good service by not considering God’s signet, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong in their decision regarding the direction of God’s Work: They thought that by esteeming God through Mr. Gerald Flurry as a clay in their hands when they chose the Edstone work, everything will be just fine. They thought that with Mr. Gerald Flurry’s approval, it became right in their eyes since he is God’s man in this last hour and he has God’s government, and so was David – he was even a man after God’s own heart and he had God’s government also: “But was it right in the eyes of God? And the answer is, no, it wasn’t

Notice verses 9 and 10. “And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. (10) And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.” Now, what happened? What was wrong? Why was God so angry?

Now, David sulked for about three months because of this. He couldn’t understand why God was doing that because they were bringing back God’s very own Ark from where He spoke to Israel, and directed Israel, and ruled Israel when God was their King, and so finally he got over that, and he began to see what he had done wrong.

I want to read that to you from an article I wrote some time ago. Here’s what I wrote: “So what was wrong with the way David was doing things? First, in Numbers 7:1-9 God commands Israel that the ark was to be transported on the shoulders, not in a new cart. Numbers 4:15 states that only the sons of Levi were to transport it that way. David apparently hadn’t even consulted them, which was a big mistake. Thirdly, Numbers 4:15 and 2 Samuel 6:7-8 instruct that, of the Levites, only the line of Aaron could touch the ark or any holy thing. The law made it very clear what should be done. Anybody who knew very much about it could have told David. When we obey God, we have to do it the way He says, in the order He says do it, and they didn’t do that.” (The KEY OF DAVID — Uzza and the Ark, TRANSCRIPT 0825)

Stephen Flurry decided to close the Jerusalem Work in 2013 while Mr. Armstrong has NEVER tried to close it even until his death. On the other hand, Stephen together with his fellows who turned their backs on God have tried to revive the Bricket Wood campus in England which Mr. Armstrong closed in 1974. David thought that God would be pleased in introducing the NEW CART in carrying the ark instead of continuing to transport it on the shoulders, while the 25 leading PCG ministers have thought the same way that God will be pleased when they have introduced the NEW WORK in Edstone instead of continuing the Jerusalem Work.

Now how can we know what God wanted done according to what He said? Did these PCG ministers even consulted or aligned their thoughts with the end-time Levi whom God covenanted with?

And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 2:4-7)

God’s covenant in this end-time was with an end-time Levi, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong – NOT with Mr. Gerald Flurry nor with any minister, so we ought to guard the knowledge and seek the law at Mr. Armstrong’s mouth! If we want to become PRIESTS or PASTORS ACCORDING TO GOD’S HEART, we ought to be seeking the law at Mr. Armstrong mouth. He is God’s SIGNET!

Now look, Uzza is going to be resurrected. He’s going to be in the second resurrection, and he’s going to have learned a great lesson. He’s going to have learned a great lesson from God that everything’s going to be just fine, but he was used by God to teach Israel a lesson.

You have to understand that the whole nation of Israel was directed from that throne, or from the Ark of the Covenant. It was directed from there, so they weren’t going to get back to God. They were going to go the wrong way again if they didn’t get this right, and so God had to show them — in a very dramatic way, and for a very great reason…

And it says (3), “And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.” So he prepared a place for that, and God was happy to accommodate him in every way, but he had to get it right.

Luke 6 and verse 46 (I’ll just mention this to you), that it says, Christ said in His own words, “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” “Now why do you do that? I mean you can look religious, you can act religious, you can sound religious, but why do that? It’s all in vain! Why call you me, Lord, Lord? Why do you talk about Christ here and Christ there and Christ does this and Christ does that, and still you won’t do what I say?Like David didn’t do what God said about the Ark, and it is our responsibility to know what God says. I mean, these are serious words…

But those were Christ’s own words, you see. He’s talking about, okay, you’d better be careful or you get into false Christianity. You talk about Christ all the time, but you don’t do what He says, whether it’s in the New Testament or the Old Testament. And He said, even when He was alive, that you have to live by every word of God, and the only word of God available at that time was the Old Testament. So He said you have to live by every word of God — the Old Testament, the New Testament — all of it!

Now let me just quickly read another New Testament warning from Him that says virtually the same thing. Mark 7 and verse 6. “He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. (7) Howbeit in vain…” In VAIN! “…do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Did you know you can worship God in vain? You may think you’re following God, you may think you’re obeying God, but if you don’t do what He says in His Bible, you’re doing it in vain. That’s quite a condemning statement, and again, that’s in red-letter — Christ’s own words. If you have a red-letter Bible, you can see that. And He’s quoting Old Testament! He’s quoting Isaiah when He said it. That’s Old Testament, and that’s New Testament, and that’s Christ talking, and He said, He used an example in the Old Testament, just like Paul said in 1 Corinthians.

So the lesson is this, that we can worship Christ in vain, and that we want to avoid.

Look at verse 9, “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”

Imagine that! He’s talking to the Jews, and He said, “Well, you’re rejecting the commandment of God, just so that you can keep your own tradition or your own teachings, that are wrong!”

Now, David very quickly turned it around. It’s not that easy to get people to turn it around, sometimes. Even with a man like David, God had to strike a man dead to get his attention. (The KEY OF DAVID — Uzza and the Ark, TRANSCRIPT 0825) —

Will God have to strike Mr. Gerald Flurry dead so that the people inside the PCG will be able to realize that they had been worshipping Him in vain? Notice carefully that if we will be looking and waiting for that sign to happen just like what happened to Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong was taken out of the way, it will be too late for anyone in God’s Church to escape physically. Why? Because when and NOT IF Mr. Flurry dies, it will already be the time of the SIXTH SEAL! Apparently his death will trigger the commencement of the SIXTH SEAL and will thus conclude the FIFTH SEAL which is the MARTYRDOM OF THE SAINTS (Revelation 6:9-12)

For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (Matthew 24:28-29; see also Isaiah 22:25)

Has the PCG learned the lessons of Church history? Do we still think that we are so strong spiritually that we won’t repeat the same mistakes as what the WCG had committed before us? Let’s look at God’s sure word of prophecy for the answer:

And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah (PCG) saw it. And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel (WCG) committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah (PCG) hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord. And the Lord said unto me, The backsliding Israel (WCG) hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah (PCG). (Jeremiah 3:7-11)

Again notice very carefully that Judah’s (or PCG’s) whoredom revolves around defiling the land. Here is how these verses has been explained in the Book of Remembrance:

Feign” according to the Webster Dictionary mean:

  1. To invent or imagine; to form an idea or conception of something not real.
  2. To make a show of; to pretend; to assume a false appearance; to counterfeit.

Could it be said then that when Mr. Flurry asked the PCG for a Church-wide fast like the one last January 8, 2012, that all the people were guilty of not turning their whole heart unto God? Is it just for a pretense? (see also Zech. 7: 5-10) While Matthew Henry Commentary has this to say regarding verse 10:

“Note, the treachery of those who pretend to cleave to God will be reckoned for, as well as the apostasy of those who openly revolt from him. Judah saw what Israel did, and what came of it, and should have taken warning. Israel’s captivity was intended for Judah’s admonition; but it had not the designed effect. Judah feared not, but thought herself safe because she had Levites to be her priests and sons of David to be her kings. Note, it is an evidence of great stupidity and security when we are not awakened to a holy fear by the judgments of God upon others. It is here charged on Judah”

“And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.” (v. 11)

Why was Israel (Laodiceans) more justified than treacherous Judah (PCG)? Because “both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not” (Jer. 14:18). They both followed “a voice from Dan” (Jeremiah 4:15) and they led God’s people into it. (The Last End – A Book of Remembrance)

The PCG saw how God gave a bill of divorce to the Worldwide Church of God when they rebelled against what Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong taught when he was taken out of the way on January 16, 1986.

And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the Lord. (Zechariah 11:10-11)

The poor of the flock knew that Mr. Armstrong has to be taken out of the way through the little book, Malachi’s Message. In the early years of the PCG when it was so young, God continued the covenant that He made with the end-time Levi, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong to those faithful poor of the flock then. But through the years, the PCG has become rich and increased with goods in both aspects spiritually and physically. The most tangible and undeniable proof was the acquisition of the Edstone estate in England. Edstone, which according to Mr. Gerald Flurry means, A RICH PROSPEROUS RULER.

Notice the context of spiritual Judah’s (PCG’s) great sin before God – “yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land.” Stephen Flurry led the PCG to defile God’s land Jerusalem by leaving it and choosing a land that he know not, Edstone. The 25 men of Ezekiel 8 broke the covenant God made with the end-time Levi, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong:

GOD ALMIGHTY CHOSE Jerusalem as His city . Then, because of the sins of the nations Israel and Judah, God finally hid His face from Jerusalem – but He . ” … shall yet choose Jerusalem” (Zechariah 1: 17) and ” … shall choose Jerusalem again” (Zechariah 2: 12). At Christ’s soon coming, Jerusalem shall become the CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, with Christ’s Throne ruling all nations from Jerusalem. (p. 2, The GOOD NEWS, February 1979)

Herbert W Armstrong in Jerusalem

Mr. Armstrong closed the Bricket Wood campus in England because of rebellion in 1974, yet these PCG leading ministers tried so hard to open it, yet were not successful, thus resorted to another place which they know not, the Edstone estate. Mr. Armstrong NEVER CLOSED the Jerusalem work, yet through the leadership of the last end Joshua, Stephen Flurry, the PCG left the Jerusalem work – they broke the covenant that Mr. Armstrong had with God who chose Jerusalem!

For thus saith the Lord God; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant. Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. (Ezekiel 16:59-60)

Notice in this last 5 verses of Ezekiel 16 that God mentioned REMEMBER 3 times meaning a finality. And it does ring a bell that this is in the context of the Book of Remembrance. Notice the word “establish” it can also mean “confirm, continue.” God shall continue His covenant with those who will repent from the PCG yet here is what God has to say to them

Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant. And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God. (vv. 61-63)

THE ARK OF GOD

How will God ESTABLISH HIS COVENANT with the PCG? How is God PACIFIED toward the PCG? Through His REMEMBRANCERS! God’s commission for His REMEMBRANCERS is found in Isaiah 42 and 49 which is to become the COVENANT OF THE PEOPLE! Is it by coincidence that God has formally ESTABLISHED His REMEMBRANCERS right now as “Herbert W. Armstrong Remembrancers and Keepers of God Foundation” or it can be abbreviated as the A.R.K. of God Foundation. It is noteworthy to consider that this little group was able to set up a new website for that foundation: arkofthecovenantfoundation.net exactly on July 31, 2015.

ARK of God website

Did you know the significance of that date July 31? It was actually Mr. Armstrong’s birth date. He could have been 123 years old if he was alive today. Anyway, yesterday July 31, we were able to go online with our new website, arkofthecovenantfoundation.net. Coincidence again?

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth. (Zechariah 4:9-10)

This short work of God’s REMEMBRANCERS are like the hands of the end-time Zerubbabel, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong, who is going to finish this work which he started. Remember also Malachi 2:4-7 wherein God made a COVENANT with an end-time Levi, so we ought to seek the law at Mr. Armstrong’s mouth – he is God’s signet. The reason our foundation has been named after him and who would dare to despise the day of small beginnings? Notice also that this work has been given the “plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel”. A plummet is a piece of string with a weight attached to one end, used to test if something vertical, such as a wall, is exactly straight. Looking at it spiritually, this plummet is actually the Book of Remembrance which measures the vertical straightness of the IRON WALL with reference to the teachings of the end-time Zerubbabel! Those seven eyes are the seven angels of the seven churches from Ephesus to Laodicean eras (Revelation 1:20). This means that this short work is not another Church of God group but a separate entity apart from those seven eras, which means the timing of their appearance has to be at the conclusion of the seventh era.

Christ in us is the real ARK OF THE COVENANT! This A.R.K. of God Foundation is a tangible proof of where real the ark of the covenant is in our times! It has been found at last and if you will become a part of God’s REMEMBRANCERS, you will become are a part of God’s ark of the covenant in this last end! Let us prove further.

Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house (or family) that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. (Isaiah 66:1-2)

Why would God choose those who are “poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at His word”?

I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (Isaiah 42:8)

The purpose of ark of the covenant is to show to His people and the whole world His glory which He will not give to any graven image and that includes any man! He will show everyone where He dwells and rules – those who are poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at God’s word. Christ coming in the flesh! One proof that this small group of REMEMBRANCERS have the ark in our midst is the abundance of new revelations coming from God’s throne in heaven. Without God’s government (symbolized by Aaron’s rod) and God’s law in our hearts (two tablets of stone), we could never be fed by spiritual manna or new revelations from God. Here is what Mr. Flurry wrote:

First there is God and His throne, symbolized by the mercy seat on top of the ark. That means that the government and law must always flow from the unparalleled mercy of God! We see the law and Aaron’s rod inside the ark. But there is another ingredient inside the ark: manna. If we submit to God, His law and His government, then God feeds us spiritual manna (John 6:49-50)…

We are in a covenant with God, and if we have His law and government, He will feed us spiritual manna, or revelation. (Of course, being under the New Covenant, this requires the Holy Spirit as well.) It should be clear to all of those in the Church that God is sending us that manna. We also have been given a great deal of precious new revelation from God…

We made a covenant with God. And the reason we are able to understand God’s truth is because Christ died. He suffered a savage butchery to make it possible for us to be able to keep all the conditions of the New Covenant, and to enter into it at His Second Coming. That’s the price of that covenant. God will never break His part of the covenant. He has already spent the blood of His Son to show His total commitment. Jesus Christ spilled His blood to let mankind know the depth of God’s indescribable love for each one of us.

What does it take to give us the opportunity to enter that covenant? Would the blood of bulls and goats make it possible? Absolutely not—it took the blood of God in the flesh to make it possible for us to enter into the New Covenant! We must never forget that: The ultimate price was paid so we could enter this covenant!

Why can’t we enter the New Covenant until Christ returns? Because men can fail. God made the Old Covenant with the people of Israel, and they didn’t keep their part of it.  So now God says, I’m going to make you do what I command first, and then you’ll enter the covenant. He wants to see how much we love it first. So we are keeping the  conditions of that covenant to assure that it is consummated by God.

But we must never forget about the blood of that covenant. Always remember the ultimate price God paid to even make that covenant possible! His blood was given to pay for our sins. Only God, who is greater than His creation, could pay the penalty for our sins. Sin always exacts a penalty. This was the only way that we could be born into God’s Family and receive eternal life. (p. 50, 66-68, Zechariah – The Sign of Christ’s Imminent Return)

For emphasis, before we can enter that NEW COVENANT, unlike the OLD COVENANT, God wants us to do what He commands first. He wants us individually to see if we really love that covenant first before God can consummate it even to the point of giving up our own lives:

Zechariah is emphasizing the blood so we don’t forget. This covenant is the crowning glory of mankind. And how could God have given more to make it possible?

What a price had to be paid for our sins—the brutal, savage beating and death of God in the flesh! What love God has for man! Without that sacrifice, man’s only choice would be to face the blackness of death forever!

Do you really understand what that means? You need to ponder these words carefully.

Angels were never offered such a priceless opportunity. Only men and women can become sons of God. What a glorious gift! And what a dangerous risk God took to make it all possible. One sin and Christ would have been lost forever—and so would we!

Thankfully, His blood was from a perfect sacrifice. Now we have the unparalleled opportunity to be born into God’s Family. We should thank God daily for that intensely brutal and bloody sacrifice for our sins—without it there would be no covenant.

When we were baptized, we covenanted with God that we would be willing to give up our own life—our blood—if it was required (Luke 14:25-26). This is also a small part of the reason it is a covenant of blood. We too must have a total commitment to this majestic covenant with God—even to the point of shedding our blood. (p. 69, Zechariah – The Sign of Christ’s Imminent Return)

God gave the apostle John a awesome vision of where that ARK OF THE COVENANT shall be found:

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant (testament): and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (Revelation 11:19)

Now notice what happens prior to this verse.

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (vv. 8, 11, 12, 15)

Notice the time setting here is the return of our husband, Jesus Christ to this earth. Therefore this ark of the covenant that is found in heaven is actually God’s faithful people who did the last end work. Remember our commission in Isaiah 42 and 49? God gave the REMEMBRANCERS as the COVENANT OF THE PEOPLE. Christ coming in our flesh is the ARK OF THE COVENANT, so who needs the physical ark in this last end? Again as Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote

Christ has to live in each one of us because that begettal is more important than the physical ark of the covenant – the spiritual ark of the covenant is beyond compare! We ought not to quench God’s Holy Spirit, because that same Spirit “beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16)

Now, here is another proof of the identity of the ARK OF THE COVENANT. Take note that there should be no chapter break here:

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: (Revelation 12:1)

That woman is God’s people who had been called, chosen and remained faithful throughout all the generations since Abraham who allowed Christ to come in their flesh. What a stupendous future awaits us!

CONFIRMING THE COVENANT

Now understand this: Verse 27 of Daniel 9 states that, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease” Christ died on a Wednesday, April 25, 31 A.D. Passover to fulfill this specific prophecy. After that He was resurrected, and ascended to heaven after 40 days (Acts 1:3, 11), then 10 days after, God gave His Holy Spirit on Pentecost day to the 120 sanctified saints, thus fulfilling “to anoint the most Holy” prophecy.

But notice that there still yet 3 ½ years remaining in that first 70 week prophecy. Actually, these were consummated in 34 A.D. with the stoning of Stephen (Acts 7:59-60). He was the very first martyr that was produced after God founded His Church on June of 31 A.D. Let us flash back to that specific event that has lead to the stoning of Stephen:

His story was written in Acts chapter 6 where he was chosen as one of the seven deacons to take care of the daily distribution of the brethren’s needs which has caused murmurings among the Greek converts against the Hebrews. (vv. 1-5)

And the word of God increased; and the number of disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.” (v. 7) – this is the fulfillment of the prophecy, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week

“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.” (v. 8) – For this very reason, just like Christ, Stephen did not escape the eyes of those in the synagogue and they also disputed with him (v. 9). Eventually, those in the synagogue “stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council” (v. 12)

Then came the HIGH PRIEST in the picture AGAIN just like what happened to Jesus Christ (Acts 7:1)

Now here is the detailed chronological turn of events leading to the consummation of the 70 week prophecy in 34 AD: Let us begin where Stephen was already speaking inside the council concerning King David, “Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. But Solomon built him an house.” (v. 46-47)

At this point, Stephen continued giving emphasis on the mindset of the people, the priests and the scribes of what has become their CORE PROBLEM – they have focused much on the physical material temple that has been built for God. “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet” (v. 48). Then he quoted the prophet Isaiah’s prophecy in verses 49 to 50:

“Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” (Isa. 66:1-2)

Stephen basically told the people that the physical temple which has been built for God doesn’t matter to Him if those who dwell in it are betrayers and murderers (vv. 51-53). He reiterated that what God looks for is a spiritual temple that is actually built with people who are POOR AND OF A CONTRITE SPIRIT AND TREMBLE AT GOD’S WORDS! The Apostle Peter also reinforces that thought. Let us read from “The Epistle of Peter: A Living Hope”:

“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ” (verse 5). PETER IS VERY CHURCH-ORIENTED, BUT PETER NEVER USES THE WORD CHURCH. Why? We can use the word church so often, and without thinking, that it loses its true meaning. I believe Peter used words that would have greater impact on people who were struggling spiritually or who were falling away. He was doing all he could to stir them. He called them “lively stones” or followers of the Rock, Jesus Christ – not a church.

We are living stones who are becoming like the Rock.

We have to be “built” into a spiritual house – again he didn’t use the word church. He wanted them to vividly see that we must be building with the Holy Spirit. (pp. 14-15, 2011 edition)

If you will look closely at the whole chapter of Isaiah 66, it is actually this prophecy which Stephen and the Apostle Peter have in their minds, because this is what God has been planning all along with the 70 weeks prophecy – how God shall build His spiritual temple. It started with Christ “in the midst of the week” and it was concluded with Stephen witnessing for God even unto his death consummating the 70 weeks prophecy in 34 AD – the first LIVELY STONE for God’s spiritual house!

Do you want to know what was Christ’s reaction when He saw what was happening to Stephen –

“But he, being full of the Holy (Spirit), looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” (vv. 55-56)

Jesus was filled with so much excitement seeing the very first fruit of His sacrifice “in the midst of the week.” Notice that it has been inspired to be written twice emphasizing that Christ was seen STANDING on the right hand of God when in fact He should be sitting on His throne. He can’t help but STAND from His throne and looked intently on Stephen who was full of God’s Holy Spirit – this is actually the specific fulfillment of Isaiah 66:1-2;

“Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”

Notice that Christ looked at Stephen from His throne – “to this man will I look.” We ought to become just like Stephen and be full of God’s Holy Spirit – to become poor and of a contrite heart, and trembles at God’s words. Do we tremble at God’s words? Do we tremble at what we are reading right now? Can we become like Stephen who became a true and faithful witness for God by letting Christ come in his flesh? Stephen’s name in the original Greek actually means a “crown.” Well, his name does perfectly fit his stature in God’s eyes. This was how the 70 week prophecy was consummated in 34 AD.

Do you now see how WONDERFUL and AWESOME this prophecy in Daniel 9 is? What is MUCH MORE AWESOME is the dual fulfillment of that 70 week prophecy in this last end because it will lead directly to the next stage – THAT OF BEING BORN AGAIN!

Zion Gives Birth

God’s Church is experiencing severe birth pangs. “A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the Lord that rendereth recompense to his enemies. Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children” (Isaiah 66:6‑8).

Zion is God’s Church. The literal translation at the end of verse 8 is, “For Zion has both travailed and brought forth.”

There is a very happy ending! This nation to be born at once is going to be comprised of Israelites and Gentiles…

Surely Isaiah 66 is the GREATEST “BORN AGAIN” CHAPTER IN THE BIBLE! NEXT TO CHRIST’S COMING, IT WILL BE THE GREATEST EVENT EVER TO OCCUR IN THE UNIVERSE!

The Zion of God is about to give birth. Now we are experiencing birth pangs. But hang on, the most SPECTACULAR BIRTH EVER SEEN BY MAN – OR – GOD IS ABOUT TO OCCUR!

“Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the Lord: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God” (Isaiah 66:9). Sometimes we get worn down and depressed. It can even look hopeless. But keep your mind on God. If we do our part, God will make our birth certain.

NOTHING CAN STOP IT! (Isaiah’s End-Time Vision, p. 19-21)

Do you now see how significant this 70 week prophecy is in this last end? As Mr. Flurry said that, “NEXT TO CHRIST’S COMING, IT WILL BE THE GREATEST EVENT EVER TO OCCUR IN THE UNIVERSE!”

AND IF YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE WHOLE CHAPTER OF ISAIAH 66 IS ACTUALLY THE CONCLUSION TO THE 70 WEEKS PROPHECY OF DANIEL 9 – which further proves that there is indeed a duality of the 70 weeks prophecy in this last end because Zion has yet to give birth to God’s spiritual children – Christ is yet to CONFIRM THE NEW COVENANT WITH HIS WIFE. That’s the ARK OF THE COVENANT, the final consummation of Christ’s MARRIAGE to His wife at His return. (Revelation 11:11-19)

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Ephesians 5:22-32)

This is indeed a GREAT MYSTERY OF GOD: Jesus Christ and His wife becoming ONE at His return – this is the ultimate fulfillment of the ARK OF THE COVENANT found at last!

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, THE MYSTERY OF GOD should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets… And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever…  And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple THE ARK OF HIS COVENANT: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (Revelation 10:7; 11:15, 19)

That is THE MYSTERY OF GOD that ought to be finished when the seventh angel sounds – to see the ARK OF HIS COVENANT in His temple in heaven.

  1. Remembrance,s To become part of the Arc of the Covenant we need to study what we have been taught in the past through our bible ,man’s good knowledge and what GOD has revealed to us from what he revealed to Mr Armstrong and Mr Flurry and to the Rembrancers and put the lessons learned to practice daily in our lives. As said knowledge is of no value if not used in the right way for the right purpose. On the other side knowledge that doesn’t seem important today may be useful tomorrow.Too many times in the past I did not have the knowledge I needed or did not use the part I had in the right way.We need to study past history, present events, future prophecy and prepare to excape the future bad news and be accounted worthy to stand before Christ at his second coming as his bride. We are saved by being part of the ARC.The ARC has and is being built on a high standard of measurement by the plumb in the hand of Zerubbabel. His works continued the work started by GOD the FATHER threw the Word Who became Christ in the flesh to finish the creation of Sons of GOD thru the first fruits sons of Adam. This is the most incredible story never completely understand by many but is one that will continue forever and get more thrilling as it keeps moving forward. Two in the morning.Time to quit for now. Grow in the grace and knowledge from the Royal GOD. Family. Thomas.
